The best wetsuit that money can buy.

Today, we went to see the team at XTERRA wetsuits. They make the USA Triathlon wetsuits. The way that XTERRA designs their wetsuits is unique on many levels. The varying thicknesses that they use as well as the way that they design the shape of the suit helps create optimal body position while swimming. Their wetsuits will only make you faster. We will be carrying many different options for the 20009 tour so stop by and ask as many questions as you want. To get a first hand experience, try one yourself, we will have them available at all of our events.

If you want a professional opinion, you can always ask Marky V!

Lake Havasu Triathlon

In the middle of the desert there are retirees, spring break kids, and for last weekend there were triathletes as well. It was 90 degrees, but the water was only 60. XTERRA wetsuit demos went well. People hated their current sunglasses, but loved the Rudy Projects. The wind picked up as the ground heated up, but our 10X50 booth handled like a champion. There were about 800 athletes racing a sprint or olympic triathlon. There was also a collegiate race which was fun to watch.
We handed out lots of samples and goodie bags over the weekend. First we had the packet pickup at a hotel Friday afternoon. Then we set up before the sun rose and had a great event. Our booth was close to the finish line which provided maximum exposure.

Pasadena Triathlon.

This first race of the tour was the small, beginner friendly, Whole Foods Pasadena Triathlon. The expo was the day of the race. This made it difficult to sell a lot of products, but gave all of the companies great exposure as many of the first time trathletes were interested in our gear. They also wanted to knowwho USA Triathlon was and why they should be members.
And they are off.
The most popular item at our booth was the free goodie bags. Handing out samples, flyers, and catalogs kept us busy whenever people were around. People showed up mostly after the race. Before the race everybody was prepping for the day. Some people spent time browsing the booths before heading home after racing. Next stop Lake Havasu!
