Newport Beach Triathlon

With nearly 1,000 people racing, two days of setting up our booth, and perfect weather, this was a fantastic event. The only thing better might have been racing it. If you missed this one, do not miss the Los Angeles Triathlon in October.

We did a scaled down booth due to limited space inside the packet pickup expo. We showed off as many of the partners as we could and had great feedback for the number of products that we had for an indoor space. We also had a bit of a smaller booth on race day. We were on sand with maximum exposure. We take this weekend off and return for Wildflower!

Vineman Showdown

In beautiful San Rafael, we attended the first of the Vineman series. A short sprint race was held on a gorgeous sunny day. The race was sold out with 600 athletes participating. Elisabeth from Cowbell showed up and helped out! She was a big hit along the finishing chute cheering on everyone.

We got our stickers on our car and we stand out a lot more now! We turned heads with all of the bikes on top, but people love to stop in the street and talk to us. I will be handing out a lot more business cards because of the stickers.

Cal Poly

Last week we were at the Cal Poly March Triathlon Series at Lake Lopez near San Luis Obispo. It was cold in the morning, but turned out to be a beautiful day. Only 500 athletes were racing and most were collegiate racers. We look forward to a busier month with Vineman Showdown this weekend followed by Newport Beach Triathlon the following week. UCSB tri.

March 29 was the UCSB/Kendra Chiota Payne Memorial Triathlon. There were hundreds of collegiate athletes competing for the Pacific Southwest Collegiate regional crown. Cal Berkley came out on top, but all of the teams had a great performances. The beautiful UCSB campus was the proving ground for these athletes. Our booth was located in the same area where the awards ceremony was held. As usual, our booth was the best looking area for the race. We got a lot of attention with our Blue bikes and by carrying the Rudy Project gear deal. We are looking forward to letting people use the new h2o Audio products that we just received.

Next year, the UCSB race will be held on March 28 and will be a sprint distance race.
